The FunkyKids Club

Workshops

The FunkyKids Club Creative Workshop is open to all children of primary school age. At the end of the term, the children will showcase what they have achieved in a stage show. The show will be performed with all of the children in their own costumes which they will make, their make-up applied and under stage lights.
No child will be pressurised to perform.

Every child is a star in the show and all are equal in their group. The children will be encouraged to work and help each other out.
When the children complete their workshop they will be allowed to keep everything they have made in recognition of what they have learned and achieved.

They will also play games and act out scenarios that help to stimulate their self-confidence, communication & teamwork skills and are all allowed to express themselves.

What are the activities?

The activities include singing, dancing, arts and crafts, creating and learning.

How will my child benefit?

Your child will benefit from the workshop as they will have a lot of fun, be involved in teamwork, gain confidence, learn to achieve and be proud of themselves and given the option to perform on stage with lighting and effects.

What do I have to do?

You don't have to do much except be encouraging. Materials are provided by us; however, you may be asked to supply some old clothes and recyclable material for your child. You may also be asked to give a small hand in the workshops or on the night of the show.

The whole FunkyKids experience has been enriching for the school community and life changing for some of our students.
